Colemill's Full Service Makes a Real Difference in Customer Satisfaction
Let's fact it--just about any company can swap engines and props on airplanes. So, why has Colemill remained the world's largest aircraft modification company for so many years?
There are many reasons. Here are a few.
First, Colemill is a well-established, well managed and trusted company. It has been in business at the same location and under the same management since 1944. People in aviation know they can count on Colemill to meet not only their present needs, but any needs they might have in the future.
Another reason so many people rely on Colemill is the fast service we offer. With a large shop and a large, experienced staff, Colemill gets work done on time. All parts for all modifications are kept in stock. So, there's never any waiting for parts to arrive.
An additional factor behind Colemill's success is that a Colemill conversion is much more than just an engines and props swap. During the conversion, Colemill's experienced aircraft modifiers do everything necessary to make sure your airplane is the best it can be. Rigging is checked. Controls are checked. Air leaks are sealed. Any adjustments that need to be made are made. In short, during the modification Colemill goes over your airplane from wing tip to wing tip and from nose to tail. If anything is found wrong, it's made right.
Once the work is completed, each Colemill conversion is flown from two to five hours by Douglas Colbert, Colemill's Director of Maintenance and son of Colemill President, Ernest Colbert. Douglas is very picky about Colemill's work. If the slightest thing is found wrong with an airplane during one of his flights, he taxis directly back to the shop where the problem is fixed under his supervision. Douglas makes sure that the pilots of converted airplanes don't experience any "surprises" on their way home. Other than fuel costs, there is no charge for this service.
Another reason so many pilots and aircraft owners choose Colemill for conversions is all the optional services that are available. For example, Colemill has a complete avionics shop. If your radios need work, we can handle it while your modification is being performed. If you want a whole new panel, Colemill can handle that too. We are an authorized dealer for all major brands of avionics. If you want a GPS, an autopilot, state-of-the-art NAV_COMS, the latest and most up-to-date avionics of any kind, they can be installed right here at Colemill during the modification process.
What about your paint and interior? If you need either or both, Colemill will be happy to hand that for your too.
Another thing people like about Colemill is that we don't ask for money "up front." The customer is billed only after all work is complete and the aircraft owner is totally satisfied.
With all the advantages Colemill offers, it's not surprising that this company has built an international reputation for quality, service and integrity. People know they can count on Colemill for quality products and work at a fair price. That's how Colemill has survived and thrived for more than half a century in an industry in which many other companies have disappeared from the scene.
