Birmingham Attorney Likes Foxstar's Looks and Performance
Birmingham attorney Danny Evans recently had a Colemill Foxstar conversion performed on his Baron. He said he's so pleased with the airplane that it's hard to decide which of its features he likes best.
"It just jumps of the runway now," Evans said while discussing the Foxstar's shorter takeoff run. And, he said he was also impressed by the shorter landing roll. But, it's in the time between the takeoff and landing that most of the Foxstar's features make themselves known.
Evans said he has noted "substantial increases" in both the rate of climb and speed since he had the Foxstar modification performed. He added, "I feel so much more comfortable now with the new engines." Evans said the distinctive appearance of the Foxstar, with it's four blade props and "Zip tip" winglets, are an added bonus. "Line boys come out and give you the eye," he said.
When asked to sum up his feelings about the Foxstar, Evans was brief and to the point. "It's really a wonderful airplane," he said. "I like it fine."
