Colemill Baron Conversions Enjoy Worldwide Popularity
Baron conversions remain popular for a variety of reasons.

Colemill's Foxstar Baron performs great and looks great too!

Colemill offers modifications for every Beechcraft Baron ever built except the pressurized models. These conversions continue to be extremely popular worldwide for a variety of reasons.

Pilots who operate out of short fields or at high density altitude airports like the shorter takeoff runs and the extra climb performance.

Pilots who operate in places with extremely tough airport noise regulations (such as Switzerland) like the much lower sound levels produced by Colemill's Foxstar Baron modification. The lower noise level permits them to fly and operate normally at times when other airplanes can't because of the noise restrictions.

Others simply like the faster cruising speeds and the higher service ceilings.

To put it simply, there are a lot of things to like about all the Colemill Baron modifications.

Colemill's Foxstar Baron conversion is extremely popular for many reasons. In addition to the enhanced performance, the Foxstar also has a great, distinctive new appearance with its four-blade "Q-Tip" propellers and "Zip-Tip" winglets. But, the performance is the thing that Foxstar pilots talk about the most.

"The climb rate has doubled. It will climb at 3000 feet per minute at sea level now," one happy Foxstar pilot told us.

"I file for 190 knots now rather than 180," another Foxstar pilot said. "It climbs like a turboprop," another added.

We could go on and on with quotes like these, but you get the idea. The Foxstar Baron is a truly outstanding performer. It also has a nice, quiet, smooth ride.

Each Foxstar Baron modification begins with7 the installation of highly reliable Continental IO-550 300 h.p. engines for extra climb performance and speed.

The "Zip-Tip" winglets are added to the Foxstar package to provide additional lift and improved inflight stability.

The four-blade "Q-Tip" propellers give the Foxstar its remarkably quiet, smooth, vibration-free ride. The props also give the Foxstar additional ground clearance.

Rounding out the Foxstar package is the installation of a highly accurate Shadin Digiflow fuel computer.

All these components work together to make the Colemill Foxstar Baron a truly outstanding airplane in both performance and appearance.

The Foxstar modification is available for all 58 model Barons and for the C, D and E models of the 55. For pilots flying 55 A and B models Colemill offers a choice of two conversions - the President 600 and the President II.

The President 600 comes with the 300 h.p. version of the Continental IO-520 engines and three-blade props, and a Shadin Digiflow fuel computer.

Colemill also offers its "Zip-Tip" winglets as freestanding items for Baron pilots who would like to have them, but don't want to do a complete modification right now.
